About these terms

These terms explain the basis on which you may use CalcBrit’s free calculators and information. CalcBrit is operated by Manyi Simon. For questions, email manyisimon9@gmail.com. Our privacy policy explains how personal information is handled.

Use the tools to understand your figures

Calculators, worked examples and articles provide general information and planning estimates. They are not personalised financial, investment, tax, legal, engineering or other professional advice, and they are not an offer of a product or service.

Check your inputs, the selected country, dates, tax year, formula and scope notes. A tool may leave out circumstances relevant to you. Actual tax liabilities, benefit entitlement, lender decisions, investment performance, bills and supplier quantities may differ. Confirm important decisions with the relevant authority, provider or suitably qualified adviser.

Sources, assumptions and updates

We aim to use clear formulas and appropriate sources and to correct errors we identify. Rules, rates and source material can change. A checked date identifies the snapshot used; it does not guarantee that a page reflects every subsequent change. Illustrative prices and returns are editable examples, not current quotes or forecasts.

Read our calculation methodology. Please report an error with a reproducible example so we can investigate it.

Fair use of the website

You may use the tools for your own calculations and share links to pages. Do not attack or disrupt the service, bypass security controls, submit unlawful material or use automated requests in a way that interferes with other visitors’ access.

Content and source licences

You may quote short extracts with a clear acknowledgement and link to the relevant page, subject to any applicable rights. Do not republish substantial parts of CalcBrit’s original content or present it as your own without permission. Public-sector data and other third-party material retain their own licences, including the Open Government Licence where indicated. Nothing here removes uses permitted by law.

External websites and availability

Links to official authorities and other websites help you check the underlying information. Those organisations control their own content and services. We may change, maintain or withdraw a calculator or page; we do not promise uninterrupted availability.

Your rights and our responsibility

These terms do not exclude or limit responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other responsibility that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. They do not remove any mandatory consumer rights you may have.

Calculation limits and scope notes explain how the tools work; they are not a blanket exclusion of responsibility for the service. If you have a concern about a result or the service, contact us so it can be investigated.

Changes to these terms

Updated terms will be published on this page with a revised effective date. The version displayed when you use the website applies to that use.
